Meet Jewel! As her senior human can no longer care for her, she is looking for her second forever home.

Jewel was rescued by her human from the freeway with her kittens while pregnant with another litter when she was around one year old. She is now 16 and loves to play with string toys, cardboard, and her scratchpad. Jewel even gets the zoomies from time to time! 

She is shy at first, but once Jewel is comfortable she becomes chatty, wants to sit beside her human, and will try to share your food with you. She will let you know when she wants something and will paw you for pets. She also enjoys going outside and was known to follow her human around the neighborhood on walks.

Location: Nanaimo, British Columbia
Availability: Immediately

Jewel’s ideal home is with someone who is retired, works remotely, or works part-time so that they can spend their days together. She is ok with other cats but would prefer to be in a calm home without kids or dogs. A fenced-in yard where she can go outside from time to time would be preferred.
