My Grandfather’s Cat works to help seniors and terminally ill people arrange second forever homes for their pets, with the owners having the ultimate decision of who adopts their animal.

Each owner works directly with one of our dedicated volunteers. When a potential adoptee is interested in an adoptable, the volunteer will call them to interview them, making sure they are a good fit for the animal, and to disclose all known information provided to us to the family, such as their personality, daily routine, type of food they eat, and known health conditions.

Once the owner chooses a potential adoptee to adopt their beloved animal, transportation is arranged between themselves and the adoptee. The adoption is simply an arrangement between the owner and the adoptee.
