My Grandmother’s pet pantry
how it works
My Grandmother’s Pet Pantry provides seniors with free pet food shipped directly to their door.
The goal of the program is to help alleviate the rising cost of pet food for seniors, ensuring they are not forced to give up their beloved pets simply because they can’t afford to feed them.
Seniors can select the brand and type of food their pet eats and we will ship it directly to their door via Amazon. The program is currently set to help 25 households each season, 100 households per year.

application process
The program will be launched each season to help 25 seniors across Canada. We will choose the first 25 applicable households and contact them via phone to confirm their information.
Items, including pet food and litter up to $200 per household, must be available through Amazon and must be able to be shipped to an address that Amazon delivers.
To ensure we are able to help as many households as possible, each household is only eligible to receive assistance from the program once per year.
how it got started
My Grandmother’s Pet Pantry is inspired by our founder’s grandmother, Esther. She was a compassionate animal lover who would open her pantry to anyone in need. Her kindness and generosity is the foundation of this program, which launched on February 20, 2024, her birthday.
