Our special success stories

bo morgan

When his senior human was moving into a retirement home in June 2021, his beloved barn cat, Bore, was in need of a second forever home. Once night, when watching CTV Evening News, he heard of a new organization called My Grandfather’s Cat and decided us to see if we could help.

He worked with our founder, Angela, to find Bore a second forever home. In this unique adoption, Angela fostered Bo for one night and decided to adopt him. She nicknamed him Bo, gave him the middle name Morgan and they’ve been together ever since.

piper

When her senior human was moving into a retirement home, her beloved cat, Piper, was in need of a second forever home in Nova Scotia.

She began working with our volunteer, Mackenzie to find Piper a home. In this special adoption, Piper was adopted by our founder’s parents, Vivian and Peter.

After losing their beloved family cats, and our founding cat, Mackenzie, they waited patiently for their hearts to heal so they can open their home to another cat. They are thrilled to have welcomed Piper into the family.
