Flossy
When her beloved senior human passed away, sweet Flossy was in need of a second forever home. Immediately, her twin daughters leaped into action. One sister drove hours to pick up Flossy, and the other sister contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.
They began working with our volunteer, Kinsey, to find Flossy a second forever home in Caledon Village, Ontario. While the sisters wanted nothing more than to keep her, they both had dogs who Flossy didn’t get along with. The sisters knew how deeply their mom loved Flossy, and how Flossy loved their mom, so they were willing to take as much time as needed to find her a second forever home, but they only had to interview two applicants to find the perfect one, Andrea and Gina.
After meeting with the lovely retired couple, they knew they were the perfect fit for Flossy. While struggling with the loss of their mom, the daughters grew a deep connection to Flossy, so it was important to them to have an open adoption. Now two months later, Flossy has settled into her second forever home and her humans’ daughter visits her often.
“This was the hardest thing to do, yet so guided by unconditional love. My mom would lovingly approve and be so grateful. Thank you so much Angela and Kinsey. We are so grateful.”
