Chester

Chester was adopted by his senior human as a kitten from the town of Chester, Nova Scotia. Four years later, when she unexpectedly passed away, and this sweet boy was in need of a second forever home. He temporarily moved in with his human’s granddaughter, who had three large dogs who were not a fan of him. So she decided to contact My Grandfather’s Cat to find him a second forever home.

The granddaughter began working with our volunteer, Claudia, to find Chester a second forever home in Nova Scotia. In just 24 hours after his profile went out to our community, we received more than 20 applications. Claudia went through each application with the family, interviewed many, and it was decided that Dawna and her family would be his second forever family.

Chester moved into his new home and it was like he was always part of the family. While he has taken a liking to his human siblings, his favourite is his dog brother, Broccoli.

“I wanted to thank you for making this possible. He is sweet and cuddly and seeks us out to demand love. He has absolutely just waltzed in, befriended our senior dog, Broccoli, and it’s honestly like he’s been here forever.”
