Georgie

When his mom passed away and his dad had to move into a long-term care home, this sweet boy was in need of a second forever home. His humans’ daughter knew how deeply loved he was and was on a mission to find him a loving home. She was searching for someone to help, and came across My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Scarlett, to find a second forever home for Georgie in Hamilton, Ontario. Georgie’s scruffy face and adorable name were irresistible to our community, and 9 applications came in on the first day.

Scarlett interviewed each applicant and passed them along to the humans’ daughter to interview. After chatting with the applicants, she chose Janine to be his second forever family. In just a couple weeks, Georgie was in his second forever home.
