Olena

When Olena’s senior human passed, his granddaughter took in his beloved cat, Olena. The granddaughter had a dog and realized that Olena was not thriving with a dog in the home, so she reached out to My Grandfathers Cat.

She started working with our volunteer, Melanie to find a home for Olena in the Toronto area. In less than a week after Olena was posted on our website, the granddaughter had three amazing applicants and chose Mikayla and her mom to be Olena’s new humans.

“Lena is settling in very well. She is everything that has been described — she's very sweet and social. She and Mikayla enjoy hanging out together. She really loves looking out the patio door and sitting on the window ledge in Mikayla's bedroom. She loves having her back brushed and came back for more multiple times when I introduced it.”
