blackie and zoey
When their senior human passed away, Blackie and Zoey were in need of second forever homes. The seniors son and daughter-in-law immediately took them in, but they quickly realized the girls didn’t get along with their children, animals or each other. Months went by and the girls still didn’t adapt
When Zoey even began licking her fur due to stress, the daughter-in-law took the girls to their family veterinarian to see if there was anything they could suggest to help the girls adapt to the home. That’s when the vet suggested that it may be best to rehome the girls individually. So, she made the selfless decision and decided to contact My Grandfather’s Cat.
She began working with our volunteer, Ashley, to write the girls profiles and send them out to the MGC community. It may have taken a few weeks, but Blackie and Zoey each found a forever home where they are thriving. Zoey’s fur has even began to grow back.
