When her senior human passed away, sweet 17-year-old Daisy was in need of a second forever home. With her humans husband moving back to Scotland, time was of the essence to find her a home. That’s when his daughter-in-law contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Kinsey, to find Daisy a home in Markham, Ontario. While we worried we may receive fewer applications due to Daisy’s age, our community reminded us that there are kind and compassion humans who want to give senior cats second forever homes.

The applications began to come in and, after interviewing multiple families, they chose an animal-loving couple to give Daisy a second forever home. She settled in quickly as if she was always a part of the family, and is now given just as much love as her senior human gave her.
