nikki

When a senior lady was moving into assisted living, her best friend Nikki was in need of a second forever home. That’s when her daughter contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Alex, to find Nikki a second forever home in Toronto, Ontario. While many kind applicants applied, one stood out — a senior lady named Marion who was much like Nikki’s human. After interviewing with the family, they chose Marion to give Nikki a second forever home.

Nikki moved to Burlington, Ontario and into her new life with Marion. After a short time hiding under the couch, she settled in well. She loves to be pet and snuggled, and despite knocking over a couple plants, she and Marion have become the best of friends.

Now, one year later, Nikki is thriving in her second forever home. “On December 1, I celebrate one year with Nikki all thanks to My Grandfather's Cat.”
