fall 2024 edition

WELCOME TO THE LATEST EDITION OF MY GRANDFATHER’S TALES

We’re so excited to share with you the work we’ve been doing and the milestones we have met over the last three months.

our fall pet pantry is here

It’s back! Every season, our pet pantry provides seniors impacted by the rising cost of living with pet food and supplies so they are not forced to give up their animals simply because they are on a fixed income and can’t afford to feed them.

“You have no idea how much this means to me. I have no idea what I’d do without my cat.”

To date, we have helped feed more than 60 cats and dogs through this program.

introducing our adoption guide

We have officially launched our adoption guide! We know many second forever families may have a few questions about what to expect when their new family member moves in, so we’ve partnered with a licensed veterinarian, Dr. Kayla Hyland, to create this guide.

“You really have no idea the wonderful impact you’ve had on all our lives. We love our new cat so much”

our recent adoptions

Leo and Sadie

When a senior suddenly passed away, he left behind his two best friends, Leo and Sadie. His son knew how much they meant to his dad, so he was determined to find them a loving home.

Sally

When her senior human was diagnosed with dementia and no longer able to care for her, Sally was in need of a second forever home. She was so loved by her human and her human’s daughter knew she had to find her a home with just as much love.

Penny and Rifiki

When a senior lady passed away, her beloved cats were in need of a second forever home. They were the best of friends, so her son-in-law knew they had to stay together. He tried to find a home for them, but he didn’t have luck. So he decided to contact My Grandfather’s Cat.

My deepest gratitude for this extraordinary nonprofit that assisted me in finding a home for my aging parents cat. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
