WELCOME TO THE LATEST EDITION OF MY GRANDFATHER’S TALES
We’re so excited to share with you the work we’ve been doing and the milestones we have met over the last three months.
Our pet food giveaway
To celebrate our three year anniversary, we held our first outreach event and gave away free pet food to seniors and those struggling in our community. Our friends at MARS Canada generously donated the pet food, while Garrison Brewing donated the event space. In just one day, we provided food for 300 cats and dogs.
The additional pet food was donated to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter — where our founding cat was originally adopted from.
our 200th adoption
On June 27, we proudly celebrated our 200th adoption. We are so grateful for those who chose to adopt from us, who donate to support our work and every member of our community. You made this milestone a reality.
We also want to say thank you to our team of incredible adoption volunteers across Canada who facilitated all of these adoptions.

our summer pet pantry is here
It’s back! Every season, our pet pantry provides seniors impacted by the rising cost of living with pet food and supplies so they are not forced to give up their animals simply because they are on a fixed income and can’t afford to feed them.
Your support will allow us to help even more seniors. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this life-changing program a reality for those who need it the most.
