Callie and Pinky
When their senior human was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and had to move into assisted living with her husband, this sweet mother-and-daughter duo were in need of a second forever home in Sydney, Cape Breton.
They began working with our volunteer, Kate, and found a second forever home for Callie and Pinky in Nova Scotia. At the time, MGC had facilitated only a few adoptions in Cape Breton, but applications began to pour in. After interviewing a few applicants, the family chose Ciana, who happened to also live in Sydney, Cape Breton, to be their second forever family.
Now, two years later, Callie and Pinky are thriving with Ciana. They love to greet her at the door, soak up the sun on the back deck, snuggle in their moms bed, and celebrate their gotcha day together every single year.
“The biggest thank you to My Grandfather’s Cat for helping me become their second forever home after they were loved so much by their first family.”
