copper’s story

When his 96-year-old human passed away, sweet Copper was in need of a second forever home in Oakville, Ontario. While his human’s neighbour was able to care for him, she wasn’t able to keep him, that’s when she turned to My Grandfather’s Cat.

Working with our volunteer, Sarah, she wrote Copper’s profile and sent it out to the community. While many people were interested, it was Sue and Ron who her neighbour chose to be his family. Copper, who was renamed Barney, quickly became part of the family. He sleeps in their bed every night, loves belly rubs and his new mom says he is one of the sweetest cats she has ever met.
