When their human passed away, Hugo and Boris were suddenly without a home. His niece quickly took the boys in, but it was only a temporary solution as she was a dedicated foster home for her local animal shelter and the boys needed a home where they would be the only cats. Dedicated to finding the best home for the boys, she decided to contact My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Kate, to find a second forever home for the boys in Toronto, Ontario. While the boys may look almost identical, their personalities were complete opposite. Still, they had never lived without each other and were in need of a second forever home together.

Within a couple weeks, families began to apply. Kate was able to interview interested adoptees and their humans niece was able to choose a second forever home for the boys. Now, she has the comfort of knowing her uncle’s best friends will be taken care of for the rest of their lives.
