kit’s story

When his first family moved away from Digby, they left sweet Kit behind. He wondered the community, being fed by the neighbours, until a kind senior gentleman took him in and gave him the love he deserved. But when the senior passed away, Kit was in need of a third forever home. That’s when his daughter, Cathy, contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Vivian, to write Kit’s profile and send it out to to the MGC community. While being located in rural Nova Scotia presented a challenge for the team, Cathy was determined to find Kit the best home and was willing to transport him anywhere in Nova Scotia. After going through many applications with Vivian, Cathy chose Chantel and her family to give Kit his third forever home.
