When her human needed to move into a care home, sweet Meeka was in need of a second forever home. When his daughter was tasked with finding a home for Meeka, she knew exactly who to contact — My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Vivian, to find her a second forever home in Chester, Nova Scotia. Many applications came in, but ultimately the daughter chose Amber and her husband, Joe, to be Meeka’s family.

”She wakes us up with song at 5 am, will only drink water out of a water glass and has a favourite chair. She is definitely settled and part of the family. Thank you again for putting us together.”
