When her senior human was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she decided to move into a care home, which meant her sweet cat Mia was in need of a second forever home. She was very worried about what would happen to Mia, that’s when her step-daughter contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.

Her step-daughter began working with our volunteer, Allie, find a second forever home for Mia in London, Ontario. The family interviewed each applicant together, but Marlene stood out. She has a sweet spot for senior cats and after meeting Mia everyone knew they were meant to be together. Mia settled in quickly and they have already become the best of friends.
