When her senior human needed to move into assisted living, sweet 15-year-old, Moochie, was in need of a second forever home. With only a month until she moved, her son contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.

They began working with our volunteer, Julie, to find Moochie a second forever home in Smithers, British Columbia. A few applications came in, but one in particular stood out from a kind lady was interested in giving Moochie a second forever home. The only catch was she was in Vancouver — a 12 hour drive away.

As it was a far distance for Moochie to travel, the family decided to consult their veterinarian, who confirm Moochie would be able to make the trip. They decided it would be easier for Moochie to take the two hour flight rather than drive. Just as they planned to book her flight, a lady in the local community came forever and offered to adopt Moochie. Everyone decided together that it would be best for Moochie to stay close to her.

Moochie settled in nicely and everyone has the comfort of knowing how loved she is.
