nala’s story
When her senior human passed away, a kind neighbour agreed to adopt sweet Nala. For the next few weeks, Nala hid in the basement. She was accustomed to a quiet home and the neighbour had a family with children and pets. After weeks of trying everything to help Nala adjust, she made the selfless decision to contact My Grandfather’s Cat and find a home that would be a better fit for Nala in Westville, Nova Scotia.
She began working with our volunteer, Katie, to write Nala’s profile and send it out to the MGC community. As soon as everyone saw her sweet little face, applications began to pour in. Katie worked with the neighbour to vet all interested applicants, and together they decided that Carrie was the best fit for Nala.
On the first night at Carrie’s house, Nala curled up on her lap, purred and started to make biscuits. This put a smile on everyones face, including the neighbour, who knew she found the best home for Nala.
”I feel so blessed to be able to have this sweet little kitty,” says Carrie. “Thank you for helping us find each other.”
