When her senior human suddenly passed away, his senior neighbour quickly took in his sweet four-year-old cat, Farrah. The two had been dear friends for the past four years, and she knew he would want her to find the best home for Farrah in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Although she wanted to keep Farrah herself, her allergies made it too challenging on her health. That’s when her son suggested she contact My Grandfather’s Cat.

She started working with our dedicated volunteer, Sarah, to write her profile and quickly sent her profile to the MGC community on a Saturday morning. Within just a few hours, more than 20 families applied for Farrah. Sarah worked quickly to vet the applicants over the weekend, and the neighbour decided Janet was the best fit. On Monday afternoon, Janet came to pick-up Farrah. She settled in quickly and the two are already becoming the best of friends.
