tinker’s story

When her beloved senior human passed away, beautiful Tinker was in need of a second forever home. Her granddaughter simply couldn’t put her grandmother’s best friend in a shelter, so she contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Allie, to find Tinker a second forever home in Richmond Hill, Ontario. While she isn’t a kitten at 15-years-old, her green eyes and pink nose stole the hearts of the families who applied. After interviewing potential families, she chose Eva to be Tinker’s second forever family.

“I can’t thank you enough for your help in finding Tinker her new forever home. I can’t say enough wonderful things about your cause and hope to one day be on the other end of one of these adoptions,” says Tinker’s humans’s granddaughter.

Meanwhile, Tinker settled into her new home like she’s always been a part family. She enjoys snuggles on the couch, family trips to the cottage and unconditional love.

“I think there are so many wonderful animals out there who deserve just as much love and attention as the rest. My Grandfather’s Cat means a lot to me and it brought the lovely sassy elderly queen herself Tinker into my family.”
