geordie’s story
When a senior lady decided to adopt a senior cat as a companion, she discovered My Grandfather’s Cat and adopted sweet Audrey. One year later, her daughter suddenly passed away leaving behind her beloved cat, Geordie. The senior immediately took Geordie in, but realized that Audrey didn’t get along with other cats. She didn’t fret, she just contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.
“When my daughter passed away and I couldn’t take her cat, I knew I could contact My Grandfather’s Cat.”
She began working with our volunteer, Patience, to find Geordie his second forever home. His sweet eyes and light orange fur were irresistible to our community and applications began to role in.
After interview many applicants, the senior chose Trish to give Geordie his second forever home. Now, she has the comfort of knowing Geordie is loved and taken care of, just as her daughter would have wanted.
“He's a cuddle bug who sleeps beside me on the pillow and his purr motor kicks in quite easily! I strongly support what you do and who you do it for. It was a very positive experience for me and being able to give Gordie a home was so fulfilling. If I could take more cats, I would do it through your organization again in a heartbeat.”
