TJ and vada

When a senior lady had to move into a long-term care home, she wasn’t able to bring her beloved cats, TJ and Vada, with. So, her daughter-in-law contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.

The family began working with our volunteer, Sarah, to find the two a second forever home in Guelph, Ontario. Named after the iconic movie, My Girl, the two were bonded and the very best of friends, so they were in need of a home together.

Applications began to come in and after interviewing a few, they chose Maria to be their second forever family. Now, one year later, this loving duo has made Maria’s house their home and actively work together to keep her on her toes.

“The little munchkins are doing well and their personalities are definitely shining through. Vada loves to sit on my shoes when I work from home and watch what’s happening from afar. TJ is a snuggly boy, but also the reason why the treats are in a mason jar cause he got into the package on more than one occasion. I’m glad I could give them a home together.”
