when your senior cat turns into a picky eater

If you have a senior cat, you may have noticed that they are becoming a picky eater. Many have experienced this and its a common change as they get older. Here are a few ways you can help encourage your senior cat to eat!

Mix Up the Flavours

Providing a different flavour of food each day will give your cat variety and make meal time a bit more exciting! This excitement may encourage them to eat.

Try Probiotics

Most cats are obsessed with the flavour of probiotics. You can mix a package into their food once a day and they may just love it.

Add a Little Treat

Tube treats are often a favourite of senior cats! You can add a little treat to the top of or mixed into their food to make it more delicious.

Not eating could be a sign of something more serious. If you notice unusual behaviour or weight loss, make sure to contact your veterinarian.
