Bella

When a senior lady was moving into a retirement home, she needed to find a home for her cat, Bella. After calling almost every shelter in Winnipeg to find out they were all at capacity, she was at a loss on what to do. That’s when someone suggested she contact My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Melanie, to find a second forever home for Bella. Within a few days, Brenda applied to adopt Bella. After speaking with her, Melanie just knew — she was Bella’s second forever home.

The senior lady interviewed Brenda and agreed that she was the perfect fit to adopt Bella. Brenda describes her as being the sweetest little girl. Bella will jump up for lap cuddles and will snuggle on the couch for naps! She is very fond of catnip and is starting to play more and more.

“I love her to bits,” says Brenda. “We are going to be really good for each other.”
