Bingo’s story

When his senior human’s terminal cancer diagnosis began to take its toll, Bingo was in need of a second forever home. His human’s daughter promised her mom she would find a loving home for her beloved cat. She posted on social media to see if any of her friends and family were able to adopt him. That’s when someone suggested she contact My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Sarah, to write his profile. At the same time, his senior human was unexpectedly hospitalized, and time was of the essence to find Bingo a second forever home, giving his human the comfort she needed before she passed away.

One his profile was sent out to MGC’s community, sarah reviewed the applications along with Bingo’s human and her daughter. Together, they chose a wonderful lady named Sumi to be his second forever home. They even decided to have an “open adoption”, where Sumi will send the senior updates on Bingo as often as she can.
