When a senior lady passed away from cancer, her best friend, Freddy, was in need of a home. He had been by her side throughout the last years of her life, providing her comfort on the hardest of days. Her niece knew how much Freddy meant to his human, so she was determined to find him a loving home.

She contacted My Grandfather’s Cat and began working with out volunteer, Sara, to find a second forever home for Freddy in Keswick, Ontario. Before he was adopted by his human, Freddy was in an abusive home and he was nervous around strangers.

Sara carefully went through applicants and made sure each applicant knew that he may be nervous and hide. After reviewing a few applicants, the niece chose Heidi to be his family.

Freddy moved in with Heidi and settled in right away. Along with a new mom, Freddy has a cat sibling named Charlee, who he was introduced to and wasn’t upset in the slightest.
