This Summer, a senior lady realized she was no longer able to care for her beloved cat, Maggie. She loved Maggie dearly and wanted her to have a home where she would be loved and cared for properly. Her granddaughter temporarily took her in and decided to contact My Grandfather’s Cat.

She began working with our volunteer, Jasmine, to find Maggie a second forever home in Hamilton, Ontario. A few kind families applied but one stood out to the family — Didymus and his mom.

Soon after, they adopted Maggie and she moved in with her second forever family. After a few grumpy moments, she settled in and became the mom’s shadow. She follows her around the house, sleeps in her bed every night and wakes her up in morning by sitting on her head purring away indicating that it’s time for breakfast.

Most importantly, Maggie is loved and cared for properly, just as her senior human wanted her to be.
