When a senior human in Oshawa, Ontario, was diagnosed with Alzheimers and dementia, she was unable to care for herself or her beloved cat, Maddie. When the family began discussing finding a home for the family, the granddaughter knew exactly what to do — she contacted My Grandfather’s Cat.

They began working with our volunteer, Sarah. Many families began to apply for Maddie immediately, but one sweet girl named Julianna stood out. She saw Maddie’s post on Instagram and knew Maddie would be the perfect addition to their family, who already had two beloved Siamese cats. The family immediately fell in love with Maddie, and plan to love her for the rest of her life.
