When her human suddenly needed to move into a care home, sweet Sammy Jo was in need of a second forever home. The senior gal was quite accustomed to her quiet life, mostly sleeping on her favourite pillow, so they knew a shelter wasn’t an ideal place to find her a new home. That’s when they reached out to MGC.

With only a week until the home was sold, her humans sister-in-law reached out to MGC, and our volunteer, Vivian, got to work writing her profile and sent it out to the MGC community.

Just a couple days later, Michelle saw Sammy Jo’s sweet photo and knew they were meant to be together. She reached out, and after being vetted by Vivian, the family knew that Michelle could provide the perfect home for Sammy Jo. They met a few days later and now live together in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
