Silky

When a senior human passed away in Toronto, Ontario, his very best friend, Silky, was in need of a second forever home. His daughters simply couldn’t surrender her to a shelter, so they temporarily boarded her at a cat hotel while trying to find a solution. That’s when someone recommend they contact My Grandfather’s Cat.

They began working with our volunteer, Richard, to find Silky a second forever home. Meanwhile, Silky was thriving at the cat hotel. Her loving personality was shining through every day and the staff was falling in love with her. As soon as her profile reached our community, everyone felt the same, and applications began to pour in.

Richard and the daughter worked to interview each family to find the best fit for Silky — but after speaking with Michele, something just felt right.

Michelle made the trip to the cat hotel to meet Silky and the family. They all decided it was a perfect fit and Silky moved to her second forever home the same day. Now, they are thriving together, and Michele truly believes they saved each other.
