willow and jazz

When their senior human was diagnosed with dementia that was progressing rapidly, she urgently needed to move into a care home, meaning her beloved cats, Willow and Jazz, were in need of a second forever home in Langley, British Columbia.

Willow and Jazz were 15 and 17 years old, and were completed bonded. They snuggled together day and night. Her daughter temporarily took them in, but with four animals in her home already she couldn’t provide them with the quiet home they needed.

She began working with our volunteer, Lara, to find their second forever family. Over the next few weeks, applications from humans who loved senior cats came in but there was one couple that stood out — Craig and Victoria.

Now, Willow and Jazz have the quiet second forever home they need with Craig and Victoria.

“I can't thank you enough. Without you, this never would have happened. You do in so much work in the background. I have told so many friends and contacts about how you come through for people who don't want to give up their family members' cats to a shelter. Knowing, really knowing, that Jazz and Willow are going to a great home is so healing.”
