WELCOME TO THE LATEST EDITION OF MY GRANDFATHER’S TALES

We’re so excited to share with you the work we’ve been doing and the milestones we have met over the last three months.

more than 1000 animals and humans helped through our work

In just over three years, My Grandfather’s Cat has helped more than 1,000 animals and humans through our work.

We’ve found 275 second forever homes animals, fed 400 animals through our pet pantry and outreach event, and through these initiatives helped more than 425 seniors, terminally ill people and their families.

We're so grateful for everything you have done to make our work a reality. Your kindness, generosity and compassion are the foundation of our work. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping to change the lives of more than 1,000 animals and humans.

our recent adoptions

Charlie

When his senior human moved into a retirement, her loving cat, Charlie, was in need of a second forever home. Her son and daughter-in-law took Charlie into their home, but instantly realized he did not get along with their other cats.

Ben and Marti

Ben and Marti were deeply loved by their senior humans, but when their mom moved into a retirement home and their dad could no longer care for them, they turned to a caring neighbour for help and she knew just who to call.

Bella

When a senior lady was moving into a retirement home, she needed to find a home for her cat, Bella. After calling almost every shelter in Winnipeg to find out they were all at capacity, she was at a loss on what to do. That’s when someone suggested she contact MGC.

The entire rehoming process from beginning to end was meticulously thought out. I tried many, many rescues and your rescue came through for Charlie to find that perfect home.
